You indeed have to make a long list as there are so many places to go in Windermere. As both Windermere and Bowness have a number of boutique bed and breakfast arrangements there is no dearth of accommodation options in Windermere. As for the places of interest you can visit the Ferry Nab which is on the eastern shore from where the car ferry leaves for the Ferry House.
